VELLO Bike Plus Folding Electric Bike

Created in 2010 the Austrian brand Vello made an amazing entrance in the middle of the high-end folding bike.

After being awarded various awards (Red Dot Award, Austrian National Design ..) Vello is now recognized for the quality of its bikes among the lightest on the market with a model base with 11,9 Kg on the scale, and has nothing to envy its competitors.

Made by the Italian company Zehus this "electrization" solution is today the most efficient in the market, all bikes of the brand Vello use the new Zehus Generation 2 engine in its highest-end version allowing:

• A reliable and faster Bluetooth connection because it is equipped with the latest Bluetooth technology ;
• 50% more torque with 30 Nm ;
• A new electronic locking system via the application that allows to lock the engine and thus make it impossible to use the bike, perfect against the flight ;
• Integrated real-time diagnostic and direct customer support via the application ;
• Same size, same weight, but 10% more autonomy.
• With the Plus version the engine is equipped with a gyroscopic sensor, allowing to analyze the elevation and maintain your pedaling rate and constant effort provided regardless of the situation. The feeling is somewhat similar to that of automatic speed change.

The manufacturer range announced is 50 km on the most consumer Turbo mode, and this despite the miniaturization of the block. With its feather weight the bike allows you to ride without assistance as if you were on a classic lightweight folding bike, without restraint of the bike from the eclectic block.

But Zehus engineers have integrated into their engines a world first in the cycle world, ultra efficient self-loading technology allowing to the folding bike Vello Bike Plus to become the first ultra-light folding bike with self-charging technology.

There are 2 ways to self-charge the battery:

• By activating the self-charging mode, the battery will recharge as soon as the engine is not assisting you.
• Using backpedaling. As soon as you pedal backward, the bike will slow down (the equivalent of engine braking in a car).This slowing down will therefore have the effect of recharging the battery.In practice, when you have to stop at the red light that you see about 20 meters away, rather than using your conventional brakes, you will quickly get used to using backpedaling and thusand recharge your battery by reflex.

With these modes it would theoretically be possible for you to no longer recharge your battery, and this is where the special feature of this electric bike lies, the cyclist produces all or part of the energy he consumes himself !
