Mr Wooden is the versatile frame from Brother Cycles, it is a modern tourer, a gravel bike, a "Tourer" that is not afraid to venture off the beaten track. Mr Wooden is what you decide to make of him. The frame is designed to use a 650b quick release wheelset (up to 650b x 50 tire clearance) with rim brakes , and features a low-mid trail fork up front. Why rim brakes, you ask? Well, some will say that they are easier to maintain and more reliable than disc brakes; However, what is certain is that they create a lighter, super comfortable, flexible and fast frame, designed for those long days in the saddle when you don't know where you will end up.

In addition to the ride quality, the choice of pad brakes as well as a threaded bottom bracket , 1 1/8″ headset and quick-release dropouts also allow for the recycling of classic components that still have a lot of kilometers to offer. A middle finger to the throwaway culture we live in today. And, as you can see from the edit shown above, the combination of old and new comes together beautifully, resulting in a bike with classic styling mixed with some benefits of modern technology.

Why “Mr Wooden”? Growing up in America, one of the brand's creators' favorite teachers was Mr Wooden. He was an old-fashioned country man who took them on nature hikes whenever the opportunity presented itself. He wore socks and sandals, knew all the names of the trees and always had a compass around his neck. They partly owe their love for the great outdoors to him, and found that this setting would suit him perfectly.

The frame is constructed from double butted 4130 chromoly steel , a functional tube offering the perfect balance of performance and durability , to which an ED coating has been applied under the paint to protect against corrosion. It is fully equipped to accommodate front and rear racks , mudguards and has three bottle cage locations . Grommets on the downtube give you the option to install cable stops or opt for old-school shifters. The low-mid trail fork is designed to support weight at the front if you want to use a pannier for example, and can accommodate a carrier or low rider type luggage rack if you wish.
