Trying to solve the global problem of road safety for cyclists, especially at night, Lumos has introduced this smart headset to communicate more effectively with motorists with these integrated LEDs on the entire helmet.
Each year, more than 68,000 people are seriously injured and more than 3,000 cyclists die on the roads of the United States and the EU.

Like a car, the Lumos helmet incorporates automatic brake lights, thanks to an integrated accelerometer. The turn signals work via a wireless remote control, which can be attached to the handlebars. These flash the direction arrow to make a cyclist's intentions completely clear to the surrounding drivers.
With full water resistance, a micro-USB for charging and CSPC safety certification in case of an accident, Lumos offers cyclists the chance to be seen and to be safe on the road.

Eu-wen Ding, founder of Lumos, said: "As a group of developers and cyclists, we have spent a lot of time trying to create a solution for the countless people (including ourselves) who felt invisible or vulnerable on the road. By allowing cyclists to more effectively report and communicate their intentions to motorists, we hope that this will allow cyclists and motorists to cooperate and share the road to make the roads safer for all concerned.
