CLEMENT, was created by Gustave Adolphe Clement-Baillard, in the middle of the 19th century. For the anecdote, Mr. Clement-Baillard left his house at the age of 16 with 30 francs in his pocket and died multi-millionaire at 74 in 1928.
After the Second World War, the Clément company moved to Italy, which is why today everyone associates Clément with an Italian brand.
As for the winners, the brand's top-of-the-line tyres have been fitted to the biggest riders Eddy Merckx, Jacques Anquetil, Felice Gimondi, Ole Ritter ... Many Tour de France have been won in Clément tyres than any other brand.
